Dental assistants wear many hats in the dental office. Day in and day out, dental assistants make a positive impact on both patients and their fellow dental team members. From the entire team, we want to extend a “thank you” to our dental assistants for the following reasons and more! They are infection control specialists. Nearly all of office sterilization and disinfection are delegated and handled by our amazing assistants. This is as important to the patients as it is to the practitioners in our office. Thank you! Their presence at the chairside, patient education and comfort, and familiar faces give our patients reason to return. Due to their compassion, dental assistants are said to be the heart of the dental practice. We believe that patients come back to an environment where they feel understood and cared for, and who provides that? Our assistants, of course. Most importantly, they are valuable members of the dental team. Dental assistants work independently and alongside our doctor. Not only are they the heart of the office, we believe they are the backbone, and the brains behind the operation. Without assistants, we truly believe operatory work would not get done, and we would have to close the day. Yes, they are that important! Show our dental assistants some appreciation, and help them feel as special as we all know they are.
